U21Global Research

A good gauge of the quality of a higher education institute is the quality of its research.

The research and publications engaged in by U21Global faculty are cutting-edge and relevant, highly regarded both in academia and industry.

Highlights

The second edition of Dr Helen Lange's book Financial Institutions Management was recently published by McGraw Hill Australia. Taking an innovative approach to managing risk and return in modern financial institutions, this book provides students with a perfect blend of practical and theoretical content. It gives an overview of the Australian financial services industry and new industry developments such as BASEL II capital adequacy regulations. New to this edition are chapters on exposure to global issues, market risk and alternative models of banking.

Also in its second edition, Kanishka Bedi's book Production and Operations Management was released by Oxford University Press in July 2007. This completely revised edition features three new chapters on service operations management, outsourcing and offshoring, and total productive maintenance. It explores issues and challenges faced by companies in inventory management, materials requirement planning, Just-in-Time (JIT), supply chain management, and operations strategies in the post-liberalization era.

Published in June 2007 by Information Science Reference, Enterprise Architecture and Integration: Methods, Implementation and Technologies provides a detailed analysis of the important strategies for integrating IT systems into fields such as e-business and customer-relationship management. This book was edited by Dr Wing Lam and Dr Venky Shankararaman. It supplies readers with a comprehensive survey of existing enterprise architecture and integration approaches, and presents case studies that illustrate best practices.
